Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where the knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments of       narrow domestic walls;
                                  སོ་དྲུག་པ།

         སེམས་ཁམས་འཇིགས་པས་དབེན་འགྱུར་ཅིང་།།
         སྤོབས་པའི་མགོ་བོ་མཐོན་པོར་བསྒྲེང་།།
         ཤེས་བྱའི་མཐའ་ལ་ཚད་མེད་ཅིང་།།
         རྒྱལ་ཁམས་ཀུན་ལ་དབྱེར་འབྱེད་ཀྱི།།
         གྱང་དང་འཕྲང་ལམ་མེད་པར་འགྱུར།།

Where the words come out from the depth of truth;
Where the tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stearm of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;

         བདེན་པའི་གནས་ལུགས་འཆར་བའི་ཚིག་འགྲོས་ཀྱིས།།
         དོན་དམ་དཔུང་པར་ཟིན་པའི་ཐབས་ལ་འབད།།
         འཇིགས་ལྡན་མྱ་ངམ་ཐང་གི་ཤན་ཤུགས་ཀྱིས།།
         མངོན་འདོད་ཆུ་བོ་དངས་མ་རྙོག་མི་འགྱུར།།

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought thought  and action;
Into that heaven of freedom, my father, let my country awake. 

མགོན་པོ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་ལམ་སྟོན་འོག།
  མཚམས་མེད་ཐབས་དང་ཤེས་རབ་བསྐྱེད་པར་འགྱུར།།
         བདེན་པའི་རང་དབང་འཚེར་བའི་ཞིང་ཁམས་དེར།།
         རྒྱལ་ཁམས་གཉིད་ལས་དཀྲོགས་ཤིག་ཡབ་ཆེན་ལགས།།
